Daniel has worked very efficiently and effectively with the Parochial Church Council of St Michael & All Angels Church, Abbey Wood, for a number of years, in his capacity as our Conservation Surveyor. During that time he has carried out our recent Quinquennial Survey Reports to a very high standard. In order to deal with the problems identified in these reports, he has conceived, developed and worked through two large projects.
The first involved much exterior restoration work, including to the stonework, brickwork, glazing and rainwater disposal, as well as cleaning of the church building, with remarkable results being achieved. He has produced a magnificent follow on
project, which involves installing a new lighting scheme, and redecoration of the interior of the church. This project is ongoing.
At each point as necessary, Daniel has liaised with ourselves and the PCC, and given sound and cost effective advice and suggestions. He has steered through the Diocesan Advisory Committee the relevant information and applications to gain faculty and other permissions. He has organised and controlled the tender process, and worked well with the selected contractors, and we are very satisfied with all he has achieved for us. He is a true professional, and we highly rate his input on our site, it has made a huge and very positive difference.
We have been very pleased with Mr Daniel Martin. We required a survey for a Grade II listed house with lot of recent work done. Daniel has been very approachable from the very beginning, quick to reply to any queries and extremely accommodating and kind. We were able to speak to him before the survey and afterwards without any issues. The survey he provided has been invaluable to the progress and purchase. He has answered and helped us with a lot of concerns that surrounded buying a historic property. The survey itself highlighted a lot of potential risks and important questions that we might have otherwise missed. We would definitely recommend him and use his services again.
